What Is a Silent Disco?

If you’ve never experienced a Silent Disco before, it’s simple and great fun.

Instead of music being played through traditional speakers, each guest is given a pair of wireless LED headphones. The music is transmitted directly to the headphones, and up to three music channels can run at the same time.

Your guests choose which channel they want to listen to at the touch of a button on their headphones. This means, at the same time, you might have:

• One group singing along to classic party anthems

• Another group dancing to modern chart and dance

• And another enjoying throwback or alternative tracks

From the outside, it looks hilarious. Take the headphones off and the room is almost silent, apart from the sound of people singing, laughing and cheering.

How Silent Disco Works at Your Event

I can provide Silent Disco hire in a few flexible ways:

• Live DJ on one channel, with playlists on the other channels

• Two or three live DJs, with a playlist on the third channel if not live

• Or headphone hire only, with all three channels running from playlists

While all options work, I always recommend having at least one live DJ. It adds energy, interaction and that “proper party” feel, rather than just background music through headphones.
