I provide high-energy, feel-good wedding disco and mobile DJ services across the North East of England, including Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Teesside, Cumbria, North Yorkshire and the Scottish Borders. I also travel across the UK for weddings and events on request.

Every event I DJ is built around you and your guests. Whether it’s a wedding reception, evening party, birthday celebration or corporate event, my goal is simple. Great music, great atmosphere, and a dancefloor that people actually want to be on.

Music, Mixing & Modern Equipment

With a huge music library covering all genres and decades, I can cater for pretty much any crowd. From floor-filling classics to modern chart, dance, R&B, indie and party anthems, I tailor every playlist to the people in the room.

Unlike many wedding DJs, I am a professional mixing DJ. That means smooth transitions, energy that builds naturally, and a night that flows properly, rather than stop-start tracks with awkward gaps.

My setup is modern, clean and designed to look great in wedding venues. It includes:

A premium Humpter B3 DJ booth
High-quality StudioMaster MX 121 column PA system
Tasteful, modern lighting using moving heads, wash lights and PAR cans to complement your venue and dancefloor, keeping things stylish rather than over-the-top.

All equipment is PAT tested annually, and I carry Public Liability Insurance up to £5 million. Certificates are available on request.

Multi Award-Winning Wedding DJ

I was first nominated for the North East of England Wedding Awards in 2022 and was delighted to win Best Wedding DJ. I went on to win the same award again in 2024, and most recently received a Hitched Wedding Award in 2026.

I’ve also been proud to be a finalist in the 2023 North East of England Wedding Awards and the 2026 National Wedding Awards.

Awards are nice, but what matters most is that couples trust me with one of the biggest nights of their lives, and I take that responsibility seriously.

I first started my DJing journey at the age of 17, working in a nightclub in my hometown of Alnwick, Northumberland. Alongside being a resident DJ at the club, and others around the area, I also hosted my own radio show on community station Lionheart Radio, which is where my love for entertaining and reading a crowd really began.

After investing in my own equipment, I moved into the mobile disco and wedding DJ scene, quickly becoming a popular choice for parties and events across the North East. A few years later, my work also led me into the world of Silent Disco, helping to manage Hedfone Party, a company owned by the team behind Marvellous Festivals. This took me down to Winnersh, Berkshire, where I focused on running larger-scale events across the South of England.

While living in the South, I loved the Marvellous Festivals name so much that, with their permission, I created Marvellous Disco, building a successful mobile disco business in the Home Counties and South East. Over the next three years, I DJed at a wide range of venues and events, building a strong reputation for fun, reliable and professional DJ services.

Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to experience some memorable moments, including DJing at the Geordie Shore house in Newcastle and appearing on Channel 4. Outside of DJing, I even found myself behind the scenes at Big Brother, appearing on several episodes of BBLB and spending a day as one of the “voices of Big Brother”, speaking to the housemates via the diary room. A surreal but brilliant experience.

In 2013, life changed in the best possible way when I found out I was going to become a dad. Although I loved living and working in the South East, I’m a Northerner at heart and decided it was time to move back home to raise my daughter, Luella, around close family (and to take advantage of the occasional babysitting opportunity). Since then, Marvellous Disco has been proudly based back in the North East, providing Wedding DJ and mobile disco services across the region.

Since returning, the business has gone from strength to strength, and I’m lucky enough to regularly DJ at some truly beautiful venues around the North East, including Alnwick Gardens and Castle, Doxford Hall, Newton Hall and Ellingham Hall, along with many more stunning wedding venues. I have also recently worked in The Rooftops Bar at St James’ Park, Newcastle.

I’m always investing in new sound and lighting equipment, with the aim of delivering a modern, high-quality setup that looks great in wedding venues and sounds even better on the dancefloor. Creating a fantastic atmosphere and giving couples great value for money is something I take a lot of pride in. In 2026 so far I have reinvested over £6000 in upgrades to sound and lighting.

In 2022, I was honoured to be nominated for a North of England Wedding Award by a couple I had the pleasure of DJing for, and even more delighted to win Best Wedding DJ that year. I was also proud to be a finalist in 2023, before winning Best Wedding DJ once again in 2024. I also won the Hitched Wedding Awards in 2026. I’m incredibly grateful for the support from the couples who have trusted me with their big day.
