I’ve been providing professional Wedding DJ and wedding disco services since 2005, and have now had the pleasure of DJing at over 1,500 weddings across the North East and beyond. No two weddings are ever the same, and I don’t work to a fixed formula. Every wedding disco I provide is tailored around you, your guests and your music tastes, so your evening reception feels personal, not generic.

When you book Marvellous Disco as your Wedding DJ, you’ll get access to your own private planning area on my website. Here you can manage your booking details and build your perfect evening playlist using my advanced request system, with access to thousands of songs. If you’d rather leave the music in my hands, that’s absolutely fine too. Many couples do, and I’ll make sure your wedding dancefloor stays full all night.

I’m comfortable playing pretty much any style of music for weddings, from 50s and 60s classics right through to modern chart, dance and R&B. From rock and roll and indie through to current floor-fillers, I tailor the music to suit the mix of guests on your wedding day. I’m also happy to take requests on the night. Cheesy action songs only make an appearance if they’re genuinely wanted by you or your guests. They’re not my default unless you ask for them.

I always arrive at least one hour before your wedding disco begins to allow plenty of time to set up properly. If your venue requires an earlier setup, this can be arranged in advance as part of your wedding planning.

My wedding DJ setup is modern, clean and designed to complement beautiful wedding venues rather than overpower them. It includes a sleek Humpter B3 DJ booth, a high-quality StudioMaster MX 121 column PA system, and dynamic lighting using a mix of moving heads, wash lights and parcans. For your first dance, I use soft white lighting to keep the moment elegant and timeless. I’m happy to make key announcements during your wedding reception, including the cake cutting and first dance. Aside from this, I keep microphone use minimal. I’m not the type of wedding DJ who talks over the music all evening. I prefer to let the music do the work, with the occasional bit of encouragement, where necessary, to keep the dancefloor moving.

It’s a small detail that makes a big difference to how your wedding reception feels, and something many couples comment on afterwards.

I was first nominated for the North East of England Wedding Awards in 2022 by a couple I had the pleasure of DJing for and was delighted to win Best Wedding DJ. I went on to win the same award again in 2024, and most recently received a Hitched Wedding Award in 2026.
